Dr Shanti Thumati

Dr Shanti Thumati is a UK-trained general health provider with special interests in women’s health, cosmetic medicine and mental health. She is passionate about providing the best possible medical care taking into consideration the wise words of Hippocrates:

"It is far more important to know what person the disease has than what disease the person has".

She has a special interest in mental health and is accredited to provide Focussed Psychological Therapy. Because she also has a special interest in women’s health, she would be especially delighted to see you if you are planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, or recently delivered a baby.

Apart from her work as a health provider, Dr Shanti is a mother to two young boisterous boys and enjoys reading, painting and cooking.

Dr Preeth Prakash

After earning her medical degree in Chennai, India, in 2007, she completed her specialist training in the United Kingdom. Following 12 years of clinical experience in the UK, she relocated to Australia with her family. She has extensive experience working with diverse, multi-ethnic communities and is proficient in English, Hindi, Tamil and Marwari.

While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, she has a dedicated interest in:

  • Mens and Women’s Health: Pregnancy/ postnatal care, pre-pregnancy counselling and menopausal hormonal health.
  • Family Wellness: Chronic disease management, preventative health checks and nutritional medicine to improve long term health.
  • Occupational Health: Pre-employment and fitness-for-duty medicals, workers’ compensation assessments, CTP motor vehicle insurance claims, insurance medicals, and driver medicals.
    She is well versed in streamlining the recovery process through precise clinical reporting work capacity certificates and proactive Return to work coordination with the rehabilitation team.
  • DVA claims: Comprehensive medical assessments; DVA health checks; CVC plans; and Permanent Impairment forms for veterans.
  • Outside work she enjoys reading; cooking and spending time with her young family.

Dr Priyank Jani

Dr Jani was born and brought up in the United Kingdom and completed his medical training at the University of Leicester. He undertook his postgraduate and specialty training across a wide range of general practices and hospitals in London before relocating to Canberra.

Dr Jani has a strong interest in the care of patients with complex and chronic health conditions and offers longer consultations for patients requiring comprehensive assessment, coordination of care, and ongoing management. He takes a patient-centred, evidence-based approach, particularly for conditions that require continuity and multidisciplinary input.

He has completed the Certificate of Occupational Medicine through Monash University, reflecting his commitment to high-quality workplace health care and injury management. Dr Jani is the Director of Capital Workforce Health providing medical care and assessments for workplace and insurance matters, including workers’ compensation, CTP claims, and pre-employment medicals www.capitalworkforcehealth.com.au

Dr Sonam Jani-Naik

Dr Sonam was born and raised in London, UK, and graduated from St George’s, University of London. She completed her clinical training across a range of London hospitals before relocating to Canberra, where she now practises as a GP.

She is a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (FASLM) with a strong focus on preventative health, longevity, and optimising long-term wellbeing. Dr Sonam is passionate about delivering holistic, patient-centred care that goes beyond symptom management to address the root causes of disease.

Dr Saima Mustafa

Dr Saima Mustafa is a compassionate medical practitioner with over a decade of experience in providing healthcare services. She earned her medical degree from the United Arab Emirates and moved to Australia in 2009, where she began her medical career. She worked in various hospitals in Sydney and completed a Diploma of Child Health with Westmead Hospital. Then, she made her way to Canberra and obtained a fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners in Australia.

With a strong commitment to preventive medicine, Dr Mustafa emphasises the importance of regular check-ups, screenings, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall wellness and disease prevention among her patients. She takes a holistic approach to healthcare and ensures her patients receive up-to-date and evidence-based care.

She enjoys the diverse aspects of general practice and working with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Carolyn O’Mahoney

APA Titled Paediatric Physiotherapist

Carolyn O’Mahoney is an APA Titled paediatric physiotherapist who has worked in the disability sector for over 20 years. Carolyn has extensive experience working with children aged newborn and upwards across a broad variety of conditions including low tone, developmental or movement concerns, hypermobility, clumsiness, toe-walking, alignment concerns, neurological conditions and neurodiversity. 

Carolyn is also a clinical supervisor and a clinical tutor in paediatrics and disability. Carolyn is a practitioner member on the Australian Physiotherapy Board and is the current National Chair for Disability with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Lucy Andrawes

Podiatrist

Born and bred in Melbourne, Lucy is a passionate and experienced Podiatrist with a focus on client-centered care. With a diverse background spanning community health, private practice, and refugee support, she’s committed to holistic well-being.

Lucy graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Podiatry and a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration. Her expertise includes foot pain management, diabetes care, paediatrics, and dermatology.

Beyond her clinical work, Lucy values family, travel, and exploring diverse cultures. She’s dedicated to helping her clients achieve their health goals and enjoys sharing her passion for good food and laughter.

Yoo-Mi Kim

Dr. Kim studied medicine at the Australian National University and graduated in 2011. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine, with a special interest in preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and women’s health. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.
